Radon is a South African company originally founded in 1990 by the present Managing Director, Mr. Willem Joubert.
Responding to rapid changes in the South African Construction and Civil Engineering industry, Radon Projects has grown into a multi-faceted group of Companies with impressive financial stability that caters to an impressive array of Clients.

We strive to provide our clients with superior construction projects on time, and within budget whilst maintaining high quality.

With top-quality professionals Radon Projects can offer comprehensive services, commencing with preliminary feasibility studies and following through to all stages of construction and managing of a project.

Radon is a member of MBA (Master Builders Association) and SAFCEC (South African Federation Of Civil Engineering Contractors).

Risk Management Policy

Risk is inherent in our business. The identification and management of risk is central to delivering on the Corporate Objective.
Risk will manifest itself in many forms and has the potential to impact the health and safety, environment, community, reputation, regulatory, operational, market and financial performance of the company and, thereby, the achievement of the Corporate Objective.
By understanding and managing risk we provide greater certainty and confidence for our shareholders, employees, customers and suppliers, and for the communities in which we operate.
Successful risk management can be a source of competitive advantage.
Risks faced by the company shall be managed on an enterprise-wide basis. The natural diversification in the Group’s portfolio of commodities, geographies, currencies, assets and liabilities is a key element in our risk management approach.
We will use our risk management capabilities to maximize the value from our assets, projects and other business opportunities and to assist us in encouraging enterprise and innovation.
Risk management will be embedded into our critical business activities, functions and processes. Risk understanding and our tolerance for risk will be key considerations in our decision making.
Risk issues will be identified, analyzed and ranked in a consistent manner. Common systems and methodologies will be used.
Risk controls will be designed and implemented to reasonably assure the achievement of our Corporate Objective. The effectiveness of these controls will be systematically reviewed and, where necessary, improved.

Environmental Policy

The RADON approach to environmental management is an integral feature of the company’s established record of corporate citizenship. RADON environmental performance is also a key channel to communicate the company’s implementation of industry best practice and voluntary codes of conduct.
RADON approach to environmental management is based on our commitment to enhancing eco-efficiency and identifying and managing or eliminating environmental risks. We strive to adopt the best practicable environmental management options in our operations, or to identify feasible alternatives. In doing so, we are committed to try to strike a balance between managing environmental impacts, and promoting the well-being and empowerment of host communities.
The outcomes of our environmental reports (scoping as well as environmental management plans) are used for ongoing monitoring of impacts as well as, as a point of departure, for further serving the needs of the host community through local initiatives such as training and environmental awareness programs. RADON is also committed to rehabilitating and returning our areas of operation, to their sustainable pre-operational state, so that they may still be viable for the use of future generations.
We foresee these goals to be in support of the sustainability aims of respecting and maintaining natural resources and building human capital.
