Radon is a dynamic company with the resources to undertake a wide range of construction projects in Southern Africa. Radon owns the necessary fixed property, plant and equipment that is required for its operations.

Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment

Radon is a dynamic organisation which is focused on the growth and development of knowledge and skills of all employees, especially those from “Previously Disadvantaged Communities”. Radon supports the principles of affirmative action and strives to create real opportunities for “Previously Disadvantaged Individuals”.

During the last financial year, Radon has:

  • Successfully implemented an “Affirmative Procurement Policy” and has achieved Participation in excess of 30 % of turnover.
  • Successfully implemented training programs and employed additional employees after successful completion of training courses in the accredited building industry and civil engineering training institutes.
  • Successfully appointed and developed previously disadvantaged personnel to the positions of Administration Manager, Stores Manager, Workshop Manager, Section Leader, Site Foreman and other key personnel. These appointments have been made at both the head office and on various construction sites.

Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment

Radon supports the government’s Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment policy to advance and enhance the economic transformation and participation of black people in the Construction industry in South Africa.

This Radon strives to achieve this by:

  • Making available Radon shareholding to black ownership, employment of black management personnel and through employment equity
  • Developing skills of black employees
  • Supporting government projects adhering to principles set out in BBBEE legislation
  • Encouraging our suppliers and stakeholders to comply with our BBBEE policies
